Turkeython
Extra help is needed at our Care Pantry in November! With SNAP benefits in danger of falling through, this could be a record-setting month for our pantry. Pantry dates in November are different than usual -- Nov. 1 and 22. On the latter date, we will provide families a Thanksgiving-style meal. We need donations of roasting chickens, small hams or turkey breasts, as well as gravy packets, boxes of stuffing, canned corn, green beans and cranberry sauce, and cake mixes. Bring dry goods donations to church on the first three Sundays. Meats must be delivered to Hillside either early Sunday mornings or Monday - Thursday between 9:30am and 1:30pm. Show god's love
We believe that Jesus has called us to care for those in need, regardless of who they are or what they believe. And we love to display God’s love in action in our community! A key way that we do that is by distributing free groceries to bring food to the tables of those who might otherwise go without.
Our Care Pantry is operated in partnership with Hillside Church, which houses it at their facility, along with the Durham Food Bank and Wegman’s grocery store in Chapel Hill. It is completely volunteer-run, with people from both sponsoring churches and the community coming to give their time and effort to meet this important need.

When & where
The Care Pantry is currently open for distribution on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 10:45 AM to noon at 201 Culbreth Rd., Chapel Hill. All are welcome! Early arrival is recommended. There is a bus stop nearby.
