Connect groups

At CrossTrail, we highly value relationships. We believe that Jesus never intended us to try to follow him alone, but provided us with a special community to belong to. You can’t know everyone or adequately care for everyone, but you can know and care for a small group of people.

Connect Groups are generally groups of about 6-12 people within the church who get together regularly to deepen their relationships by sharing the joys and sorrows of life and walking together in their journey of faith. Most meet in homes, although some meet in public spaces. In many ways, you could say that Connect Groups are where the church becomes a family.

Grow Groups

Crucial to any vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus is time spent alone with him. Spiritual practices like reading his Word and meditating on it, praying and journaling what God impresses on our hearts help us develop a familiarity with his voice that shapes and guides us. But getting into a regular rhythm of doing these practices and staying in that rhythm is not easy. As with other difficult things, we exponentially increase our chances at success and find it more rewarding to take on challenging goals with others!

That’s where Grow Groups come in. These are very small, intimate groups of just two to four men or women who commit to these spiritual practices in their daily life and meet weekly to share and discuss what they’ve been reading and learning. They also share their struggles to walk with Jesus and their attempts to share him with others, praying for each other and offering supportive accountability. The result is steady spiritual growth!
